Reformation Reconciliation 1517 - 2017

Wendell Grahlman (Eastern Lutheran Synod), Rev. Dr. Glenn Chestnutt (Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul), und der Erzbischof der römisch-katholischen Diözese zu Montréal, Christian Lépine.

We would like to invite you to two special events this fall. Members of the Serenata Concert Series, in collaboration with The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, l‘Église Très-Saint-Nom-de-Jésus and Saint John’s Lutheran Church are preparing two events in October in celebration of the Protestant Reformation, which was sparked by the posting of Martin Luther’s 95 theses 500 years ago, and which changed the course of European history. Through music, we will explore the life and times of Martin Luther. Works by Monteverdi, Telemann, Vivaldi and Bach will be interspersed with brief commentaries by guest speakers, including Maestro Kent Nagano, Dr. Gisela Steinle, Rev. Wendell Grahlman (Eastern Lutheran Synod), Rev. Dr. Glenn Chestnutt (Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul), and the Montreal archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church, Christian Lépine.
