On April 10, 2017, the German Society of Montreal hosted a conference on the history of the German Society in Montreal as part of the Germany@Canada 2017 – Partners from Immigration to Innovation series. The event was a huge success with more then 40 participants. Thank you to all participants, the German Consultate General in Montreal and the Goethe-Institut Montréal.
Moderated by Prof. Manual Meune (Université de Montréal), a board member of the Society, the presentation highlighted the history of the Society and presented the French translation of the book “The History of the German Society of Montreal 1835-1985” by Karin Gürttler. The French translation can be downloaded for free from our website.
