The German Society of Montreal is celebrating its 180th Anniversary with a Gala Ball at the Marriott Château Champlain Hotel on May 2, 2015
About the Event
The German Gala Ball is one of the major fundraising activities of the German Society of Montreal, and a highlight of this city's social calendar. We are happy to welcome Mr. Denis Coderre, Mayor of Montréal, as our guest of honour.
In keeping with traditional European ceremonial protocol, the German Gala Ball opens with the introduction and the choreographed dance of debutantes and their partners. Program features also include an elegant reception, an exquisite four-course gourmet dinner, live orchestra, ballroom dancing and international entertainment.
At the German Gala Ball on May 2, 2015, you are cordially invited to celebrate with us the German Society of Montreal's 180 years of city-wide charity work and provision of support to people and institutions in need, regardless of their cultural or ethnic background, and to dance the night away in style.
The elegant setting of the German Gala Ball traditionally attracts hundreds of guests from all walks of life and of all ages, thus representing a truly inter-generational celebratory gathering in style and good spirits. Among the guests are also many notable representatives of Montreal's business, finance, political, and cultural communities.
Fundraising
The German Ball of Montreal is, of course, a fund raiser. Organizations benefiting from your presence and generous donations included The Old Brewery Mission, Dans la Rue, Générations, the Alexander von Humboldt German International School of Montreal, hospital foundations and various local not-for-profit initiatives.
This year, all proceeds go to the German Society’s Relief and Welfare Fund that in turn will support various local initiatives, such as the Bach Académie de Montréal and the Alexander von Humboldt German International School of Montreal.
