IMPORTANT: Summer picnic postponed to Sunday
Due to uncertain weather conditions on Saturday, we have decided to postpone the event to Sunday.
The German Society of Montreal is delighted to host its summer picnic again this year.
On Sunday, August 27, 2022 starting at 11:30 a.m. at Park Monseigneur J.-A. Richard in Verdun the German Society welcomes you to this outdoor event. Members, family, friends, those new to the area, and of course children are welcome. We would like to spend a pleasant afternoon with you on the banks of the St. Lawrence, chat in German and enjoy the end of summer together.
The German Society will provide two charcoal grills as well as the charcoal and barbecue sauces. As part of the potluck tradition, everyone is invited to bring salads, desserts, cakes, etc. to share. We ask that everyone brings own food for the grill, drinks, and personal utensils. You may want to bring something to sit on (e.g. folding chair, seat cushion or blanket).
We look forward to a pleasant afternoon together!

Directions:
The park is easily accesible by metro line 1 / green (stop: De l’Église) followed by a 12 minute walk (1 km). If you get there by bus, you will arrive almost directly at our meeting point (number 37, LaSalle / 5th Avenue stop). Car drivers will find parking spaces directly in the park.
If the weather conditions do not allow an outdoor picnic on this day, we reserve the right to cancel the event also on short notice.
You can find the latest news about the summer picnic on our Facebook page. You can also register there if you want to take part in the event.
