The German Society of Montreal is currently working on a project to improve and expand the Wikipedia article on the Society. We invite you to take a look at the work in progress on Wikipedia. At the Annual Members’ Meeting on June 1, 2014, a new Board of Directors was elected. The Society thanks the two outgoing board members Mr. Fred Leber and Pastor Eric E. Dyck for their long service as members of the Board.

On January 14, 2014, the Board of Directors of the German Society unanimously adopted the newly revised by-laws governing the administration of the Society, presented by the members of the By-Law Review Committee, Me Neville Warren Cloutier and Nico Ahn, Secretary of the Society. The new by-laws ensure the continued improvement of our organization for years to come. The following pages will summarize the key changes made to the by-laws.
In order to get started with the preparations for our 180th Anniversary Ball in 2015, we would like to encourage all of you, but especially our younger members, to e-mail us at ball2015@germansociety.ca and let us know if and how you are willing to help prepare, organize, and help run the Ball. Due to the increasing success of the German Montreal Stammtisch since last October, we have deciced that the event is here to stay.
Yesterday, over 20 people came together at the 6à8 Stammtisch at Les 3-Brasseurs on McGill College Avenue and Ste.-Cartherine Street. From now on we will organize the Stammtisch every third Wednesday of the month.
